Sitting is believing
It started with an uncomfortable camping chair. Tired of the back pain it caused, our co-founder Ladd Lougee built a better one: the original STRONGBACK chair, launched in 2010 with posture support built into the frame. Watching wheelchair users slouch in exactly the same way, he and co-founder Dr. Christian Grothe spent two years bringing that idea to the wheelchair. The result was the first folding wheelchair designed around the spine, and it still carries everything we build today.
We have tried 5 different brands of chairs and none can compare with Strongback. Chair is light, made extremely well … it is worth twice what we paid!

This is our second Strongback Wheelchair purchase for my daughter, the first one is still going strong (from 6 years ago!). It is also very easy to maneuver and transport.
